What is Venetian Plaster?
General Knowledge
Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish consisting of lime plaster mixed with marble dust, applied by hand with a trowel and spatula in thin, multiple layers, which are burnished to create a smooth finish to multiple surfaces with the illusion of depth and texture.
In some cases a single coat application, can be left un-burnished to create a matte finish that is rough and stone like to the touch.
Venetian plaster can be used to create a highly polished, rock hard marble like finish, which can imitate a marble look on areas where marble panels cannot be easily installed.
In these cases creating a more cost effective alternative to using marble.
Venetian Plaster can be coloured, or tinted using both natural pigments or synthetic tints to achieve a desired colour to suit many individual tastes and styles.

With the correction application and knowledge process and by using the relevant sealants venetian plaster is suitable for many different substrates.

If you care about being environmentally friendly and your health, majority of venetian plaster has 0% VOC. By using one of our all natural lime based plasters and all natural pigments to create your choice of colour and sealed with an all natural beeswax for protection.
